在 西方研究星象神秘學，尤其是重視占星原來的預測本質，最終都會在印度吠陀占星找答案，由於印度吠陀占星傳承完整，跟歷史悠久，研究印度吠陀占星比較能快速 達到愛好命學的目標。研究命理不外乎看妻財子祿，而他能給的答案往往是明確而直接的。舉例在Brihat Parashara Hora Sashtra 印度吠陀占星聖經中論病妻「Sick wife. Should 7th Lord be in 6th, 8th, or 12th, the wife will be sickly. This however does not apply to own House, or exaltation placement, as above.妻身體不好：第七宮主入6、8、12宮，妻身體差，若七宮主在廟旺宮則否。」論斷條例的樣版毫不拖泥帶水，論配偶健康一句第七宮主入六、八、十二交代清楚。學命術不就是要鑒往知來嗎？論命規則愈是簡單明確愈能夠掌握命運，知命改運。
印度吠陀占星神授說
從印度吠陀占星聖經 Brihat Parashara Hora Sashtra 目錄，可窺知印度占星的觀星論命方式。
第 一部份是講印度吠陀占星的神話緣起，在「人類最高知能」中揭示最高的智慧來自於天，最高的的靈感非由左右腦能得，古代的賢能異士都在靜坐中獲得啟發。大家 看大六壬、八字、紫微斗數、易經，這些術數很難是憑一人之力在研究室內發明創造出來，因此開宗明義點出印度吠陀占星中，神授的的神秘色彩。單從印度人的名字多是神祉的名字或日月五星的名字來看，不難發現印度人比中國人還重視神秘學。
印度吠陀占星初級看法與西洋占星術比較
第三章以後跟一般學占星的部驟一樣，先論行星特性、也就是座標系統、分宮、相位、分盤計算等等。
印度人看天空的方式跟西方人其實是很不一樣的，眾所周知印度人是直接看恆星，十二宮分法不計歲差。
印度吠陀占星的宮制
第十一章以後正式進入批論星盤，首先從命宮開始依序十二宮，早期的印度占星是以整宮制來分後天宮，在印度占星先後天宮是一樣的。 現代的印度的分宮制比西方單純，從印度吠陀占星以其豐富的分盤細膩切算來看，其實宮制是很次要的問題。
印度吠陀占星其實自成一格
另 外值得一提的是印度吠陀占星對於後天宮的意涵跟西洋占星並不太一樣，比如印度吠陀占星看一個人的口才，重視第二宮，跟西洋占星用第三宮、或水星看就完全不 同。而在看婚姻感情桃花魚水之歡方面，西洋占星普看第五子女宮，而印度吠陀占星則是看第十二宮。印度人有浪漫的天馬行空也很務實地探討床第閨房之樂。

Bala,Vimshopak,Bhava Bala,Ashtaka Varga的这些数据，我困惑的很，特向您请教：面对星盘，分析行星力量时，究竟以Shad Bala的数据为准？还是以Ashtaka Varga里的Sarva Chart数据为准？如陈水扁星盘的日月火水木金土之力量，前者是1.00 , 1.26, 1.19 , 1.11 , 1.23, 0.80, 1.18;而后者是24 , 20, 29, 24, 27 , 24, 24,
前者行星中月亮力量最大为1.26，而后者行星中月亮力量却最小为20（此数据为秦瑞生老师在其“星象探索”中分析陈命盘时所特强调 ）！这把我搞糊涂了，究竟以哪个为重？！同理分析宫位力量时，究竟以Bhava Bala为重，还是以Ashtaka为重，如陈星盘，前者3宫力量最强为9.4，而后者却是10宫力量最强为43，分析命盘时究竟如何参考这些数据？另请教Vimshopak数据之来历及其运用之道?因我实在找不到有关这方面的介绍资料。

行星力量是進入高階占星學的鎖鑰,印度占星形成的時間很長,方法間不免有一些茅盾,常使人無所適從.
看盤最難的是綜合研判的部份,你問的問題範圍不小,恐怕很難在版上回答清楚,不過這種用數字評估力量的方法跟中國子平算十神的力量判斷格局身強弱很像,但是八字的高手其實都知道,論命不是這樣搞,但是這套方法卻對學科學的人很有吸引力
我用另外的角度回答你吧:很多事不是用加減法來論的,比如雙腳各放在兩個不同的桶子,左邊+80度 ,右邊10度,你說我感覺整體的溫度是80加10除以2是45度,所以溫度還好.你的左腿會抗議溫度太高的
正確地說,每種力量其實是在描述不同的情況,比如入友宮跟入廟,前者是得人和後者是得地利,把這層關係說對,占星的層次就細膩了.
